These are Chrome chromoly heim joints used commonly in the bike industry for shifter rods and other aplications. The 3/8 x 24 is common for brake stays, and the 5/16 ones work as a great high strength replacement for loose or broken shifter linkages. They can also be used when making your own linkage for tank style jockey shifters or other foot control applications. These stailess joints are made for industrial use and hold up longer than most of the zink or chrome plated ones usually seen. The larger body of the chrome moly housing leads to a much sronger joint.
