Have you ever purchased a new set of handlebars, installed them internal wire and all and soon after wish you had gone with a different size, but the cost of doing it all over again kept you from changing them?? If so read on we may have a solution for you.http://www.bungking.com/accessories/late-model-dyna-parts/handlebar-lift-kit.html

We came up with a new idea for a customer a few months back who was on a tight budget. He came in and wanted some t-bars to replace the ones he had. He was happy with everything about his t-bars he had accept the height and was kicking himself for not ordering the taller ones after riding the bike for a few weeks. No with them installed, internal wire and all, he came to us asking if there may be any way to get around having to purchase a whole new set of bars and pay to have the wires ran through them again. We decided to make up a set of spacers for him to mount in between the threaded handlebar insert that was welded into the bottom of the T-bar and the bushing in the tripe tree. These spacers along with a new set of longer bolts to make up the length difference, a new kit was formed our Handlebar Lift Kit.

By adding the 1 1/2″ tall spacer beneath the bar this effectively rose the bars 1 1/2″ from their original height, because the height difference wasn’t too drastic he was able to keep all of his cables and wires in tact and it only takes a few minutes to install the kit. The spacers for the kit are made of 6061-t6 aluminum and are available in either a 1″ or 1 1/4″ outer dia. The two diameters of the spacers will match up to most any T-Bar outer dia. When installed you have to look closely to see that it is actually a spacer in between and not just the bars themselves because the outer diameters are matching. Most sets of risers are also one of these two diameters, this means they can be used to lift your set of risers as well as lift the t-bars. The spacers are available in either a brushed finish, for those who want to paint or powdercoat them, or a polished finish for those of you with chrome bars/risers. The kit also comes with the correct longer bolt length for most applications. The bolts are a grade 8 flanged hex head bolt for extra strength for those of you who put their bike in demanding positions often.

So if you think you may want to put your bars a little higher but don’t want to go through the expensive handlebar swapping process, or just want to know what a little taller bar would feel like before you dollar down on a new set, this kit is for you. Best of all if you change your mind down the road you can always go back to the earlier position again without having to change all of your wires and cables out again.
