These blind tapped tank bungs are made from 6061-t6 they are commonly used to weld into fluid containers to provide a threaded leakproof mount in two different thread pitches.Their larger diameters allow more room for your weld bead to help create a stronger overall weld and to help spread the load over a greater area to reduce the cracking commonly forund with aluminum tanks. Mate up some of the 5/16 threaded mounts with some of our rubber mounting isolators for extra insurance.
