This mount is for those of you not using the standard forward controls on softails, early rigids and aftermarket frames, but would like to run the factory bolt on kickstand. From the factory the only way they leave you to bolt on your kickstand is through the shifter arm and control mount that bolts to the 3 hole bracket on the chassis that the actual kickstand plate mounts to. If you are running mid controls you do not have this plate in place. Our adapter bolts up to the chassis and provides a clean simple mount to bolt the kickstand to in it's factory location. We made it from thick steel to with stand those who are using them in a kick only aplication.
